Cristiano Ronaldo Marries in Private Portugal Ceremony After Decade-Long Romance

Football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has married his longtime partner Georgina Rodríguez in an intimate civil ceremony in Cascais, Portugal, nearly a decade after the couple began their relationship.

The 41-year-old Portugal captain and 32-year-old Rodríguez tied the knot on August 11, 2026, in a private ceremony attended by their five children, according to multiple reports.

Ronaldo confirmed the marriage on social media by sharing a photograph of the couple holding hands and displaying their wedding bands. The post carried the simple caption “C ❤️ G,” offering a rare glimpse into the low-key celebration.

The wedding came exactly a year after Rodríguez announced their engagement on August 11, 2025, when she shared a photograph of her engagement ring.

Ronaldo and Rodríguez first met in 2016 at a Gucci store in Madrid, where Rodríguez was working as a sales assistant. Their relationship gradually became public, and they made their first major red-carpet appearance together at the FIFA awards in 2017.

The couple have two daughters together, Alana Martina and Bella Esmeralda. Ronaldo is also the father of Cristiano Jr. and twins Eva and Mateo. Their son Ángel, Bella’s twin brother, died shortly after birth in April 2022.

Ronaldo and Rodríguez’s marriage marks the latest chapter in one of football’s most closely followed celebrity relationships, which has spanned their lives in Spain, Italy, England and Saudi Arabia.
