Pakistan’s world-famous mangoes continue to win admirers across the globe. After Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and several other international leaders, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has also praised the exceptional taste of Pakistani mangoes sent to him as a gift by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Sharing the moment on social media, Orbán revealed that a “wonderful surprise” was waiting for him when he returned to his office at the end of the day.
The Hungarian premier posted a photo of the gift, confirming that he had received a box containing 90 Pakistani mangoes from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
He couldn’t stop praising the fruit’s rich flavor, saying the mangoes were so delicious that almost all of them were eaten within just one hour.
“At the end of the day, a wonderful gift was waiting for me at the office,” Orbán wrote, thanking Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for the thoughtful gesture.
Pakistani mangoes are widely regarded as among the finest in the world for their sweetness, aroma, and unique taste. Every summer, Pakistan exports premium varieties such as Sindhri, Chaunsa, Anwar Ratol, and Langra to dozens of countries across Europe, the Middle East, North America, and Asia, where they are highly sought after.
The latest appreciation from Hungary’s prime minister adds to the growing international recognition of Pakistan’s signature fruit and highlights how mango diplomacy continues to strengthen goodwill between Pakistan and its global partners.
