
Omoda & Jaecoo Pakistan has officially launched the Omoda 7 SHS-P plug-in hybrid SUV in Pakistan, marking the company’s fifth new-energy vehicle (NEV) introduction in less than a year.
The SUV is being introduced through NexGen Auto, which operates under Nishat Motor Company. The Omoda 7 joins the Jaecoo J6, Omoda E5, Jaecoo J7 and Jaecoo J5 in the company’s growing local NEV lineup.
Powertrain and Range
The Omoda 7 SHS-P combines a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine, an 18 kWh battery pack and a Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT).
According to the company, the hybrid system produces 340 horsepower and 525 Nm of torque. The SUV can travel more than 90 km on electric power alone under WLTP testing, while its claimed combined driving range is around 1,200 km with a full tank and fully charged battery.
Design and Features
The Omoda 7 features a borderless front grille, LED headlights and daytime running lights, 20-inch alloy wheels, flush door handles, roof rails, a panoramic sunroof and full-width LED rear lights.
Other exterior features include a powered tailgate and 60:40 split-folding rear seats. The SUV also comes with a full-size spare wheel, a feature not commonly offered in plug-in hybrid vehicles.
Inside, the cabin gets leatherette, suede and wood-trim finishes. Key technology includes an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster, a 15.6-inch sliding infotainment display and a head-up display.
The SUV also supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 50W wireless smartphone charging, voice controls, customizable ambient lighting and an integrated fragrance system.
The 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat includes memory, lumbar support, heating and ventilation, while the front passenger seat gets a Zero Gravity recline function with massage.
Safety and ADAS
Safety equipment includes eight airbags, a 360-degree camera and Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).
The ADAS suite includes Adaptive Cruise Control, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane Keeping Assist, Blind Spot Monitoring, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Front and Rear Collision Warning, Door Opening Warning and Driver Fatigue Monitoring.
Omoda 7 Price in Pakistan
The Omoda 7 SHS-P has been launched at an introductory ex-factory price of Rs. 10,649,000, or approximately Rs. 10.65 million.
The price-lock offer is valid until August 31, 2026, while customers can book the SUV by paying Rs. 2 million before the offer expires.
The launch further intensifies competition in Pakistan’s rapidly expanding hybrid and electric SUV market, with Omoda & Jaecoo rapidly expanding its new-energy vehicle lineup.
