Pakistan’s two- and three-wheeler industry recorded a remarkable turnaround in fiscal year 2025-26, with motorcycle sales reaching an all-time high as improving economic activity and stronger consumer demand fueled record growth across the sector.
According to the latest industry data, annual motorcycle sales crossed 1.93 million units for the first time in Pakistan’s history during FY2025-26, surpassing the previous record set in FY2020-21. The milestone marks a significant recovery for the industry after two challenging years in FY2022-23 and FY2023-24, when high inflation, expensive financing, and weak purchasing power weighed heavily on sales.
The rebound reflects improving consumer confidence and increased demand for affordable personal transportation, as motorcycles continue to be the preferred mode of mobility for millions of Pakistanis amid rising public transport costs.
Industry leader Atlas Honda delivered another record-breaking performance by selling approximately 1.69 million motorcycles during the fiscal year, further strengthening its dominant position in Pakistan’s two-wheeler market.
The three-wheeler segment also posted healthy growth. Sazgar Engineering retained its leadership in the category by selling around 28,600 three-wheelers during FY2025-26, benefiting from steady demand for commercial passenger and cargo transport.
Automotive analysts say motorcycles remain Pakistan’s largest automotive segment by volume due to their affordability, lower running costs, and growing demand in both urban and rural markets. The recovery also indicates improving economic activity, stronger retail sales, and easing pressure on household spending compared with previous years.
With record-breaking motorcycle sales and robust three-wheeler demand, FY2025-26 has officially become the most successful year in the history of Pakistan’s two-wheeler industry, highlighting the sector’s resilience and its growing role in meeting the country’s transportation needs.
