
The federal government has announced another reduction in petroleum product prices, bringing relief to consumers for the second consecutive day.
According to a notification issued by the Petroleum Division, the price of petrol has been reduced by Rs. 3.39 per litre, bringing the new price down to Rs. 328.56 per litre.
The price of high-speed diesel (HSD) has also been cut by Rs. 4.07 per litre, with the new rate fixed at Rs. 385.86 per litre.
The latest notification states that the revised prices will be applicable on August 5.
The government has also reduced the price of kerosene oil by Rs. 4.34 per litre, setting its new price at Rs. 297.30 per litre.
The announcement comes just a day after another reduction in fuel prices. On Tuesday, the government lowered the price of petrol by Rs. 4.08 per litre and diesel by Rs. 2.45 per litre.
With the latest revision, petrol prices have fallen by a combined Rs. 7.47 per litre, while diesel prices have declined by Rs. 6.52 per litre over the past two days, providing additional relief to motorists, transporters, and businesses amid fluctuating global oil prices.
