The Washington Commanders unveiled their completely revamped 2026 uniform line today, which combines the franchise’s rich history with a vibrant, modern identity. The revamped selection reintroduces Super Bowl-era sets while also introducing a bold, new alternate style, the “Hail Raiser.”
The 2026 uniform closet contains:
Super Bowl Era Burgundy Jersey – In honour of the team’s Super Bowl Era dominance, the Commanders wear a vintage burgundy jersey as their primary.
The famous white Super Bowl Era suit will play a significant role in 2026.
Three-striped gloss burgundy helmet with gold facemask – The burgundy and white jerseys will be combined with a new gloss burgundy helmet featuring the distinctive three-stripe design and a gold facemask, reintroducing a legendary style.
Gold Pants – The burgundy and white jerseys can be worn with the franchise’s classic gold pants. To maintain a consistent visual identity across the closet, these trousers will have two stripes.
Block font Font – This font, which has been a feature of the team’s uniforms for the majority of its history, made an initial comeback on the Super Bowl Era alternates worn last season. Now the burgundy and black variants will follow suit. The front and back numbers, shoulder pad numbers, and nameplates on the back of each jersey all feature the famous, solid block style. The addition of a block number on the shoulder pad is also new to the burgundy and black tops, a detail that was previously only seen on last year’s Super Bowl Era alternates. All three uniforms feature the same numbering and lettering style.
The “Hail Raiser,” the team’s alternate uniform, is an all-black suit matched with a black helmet sporting a Spear W logo sticker on both sides. The black helmet has a “low gloss” finish for a matte appearance. The inclusion of the spear and its sharpest point – the spearhead or “tip of the spear” – represents the best combatants, the front lines, those leading a mission who are not afraid to wade into the fire. This variant logo combines the past and current, with the spear and W interlaced at the middle. These all-black “alter egos” exemplify the Commander’s identity as a warrior leader and represent the stealth characteristic displayed by elite forces during battle.
